Amendments to the Elevating Devices Code Adoption Document (CAD) 2021

TSSA invites you to provide feedback on its publication of Code Adoption Document (CAD) amendments for Elevating Devices. The Elevating Devices CAD is adopted by reference in O. Reg. 209/01 (Elevating Devices).

TSSA proposes to adopt the latest edition of the CSA B44 Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators and other relevant elevating device codes as presented in the Code Adoption Summary table below. Codes are adopted into a Code Adoption Document (CAD) that is published by TSSA. The current CAD was last updated and published in May 2019.

The opportunity to provide feedback will be open until November 13, 2021. TSSA staff will analyze and consider feedback from the consultation. TSSA will aim to publish the final CAD in January 2022. Delays to this publication date could be based on the volume of feedback received from the consultation and the time it takes to review each submission.
